@Erin,

I hope you've found a great pair at a great price.

@Jay,

Cheapskates Unite! Its been three months and my pair is as good as new. Not a scratch and no screws have loosened, etc. Regarding the frame quality, I would say that they are definitely not designer glasses like you see on fancy eyeglass stores but comparable to typical mall franchise shops across America.

I have bought a second pair of glasses from LBWEyewear (for my father in law this time) and savings have been more substantial and he is delighted as well.

My only advice, if ordering, is to use Internet Explorer on a Windows box. Shopping cart is not current on web standards I am sad to say...

Thanks for sharing. I, too, am a cheapskate who needs glasses. LBW looks incredibly cheap with semi-stylish frames, so I was just wondering how you found the quality. Thanks!

Very true, 8 hours of actual work is surprisingly hard to achieve. ;/ One thing that we've been doing is being very stiff on estimates. Estimates are in 2 hour increments; minimum 2 hours. If there's any doubt that it can't be done in 2 hours; it's a 4 hour task. Because this means rounding up; rounding up an 8 hour day works too. Wouldn't be able to charge a client for these hours though, as being precise isn't as important as hitting a target date. Doing both definitely complicates things o.0

Wow, looking at demo, Redmine one-ups trac. Our initiative to look for software was more management-driven which may be why we are running with Mingle. Even thou it doesn't look as integrated a tool as Redmine (we still go to Budzilla, etc) the management feature, task allocation (by iteration.... resource, etc) won us over. Otherwise, these two seem to feature match ok,,,

Perhaps we can do a show and tell soon enough and compare implementations? I would like to see different approaches to this 'issue'

Wow, sounds like some cool stuff going on at Caxiam.

I was recently looking into wed project management software as well. We use trac for a number of projects, but since there's an entire install for each trac site, it's not exactly ideal for a place with a lot of projects. We've since started using a locally hosted version of Redmine ( http://www.redmine.org/ ) which is proving very useful. You can have multiple projects, each with different workflows. Tie it in with SVN/Git with hooks, and there's useful wiki's, forums and time tracking per project. Only using it for 2 weeks so far though, so there's a lot of things to figure out still.
